Inspired by the mystical Tibetan Spirit daggers used to stab demons and ward off evil spirits during ancient Tibetan rituals. The Serpent Dagger - Nasek
The Serpent Dagger is one of the Blades of Chaos , a series of edged fantasy creations from the Fourth Age of "The Tale of the Swords of the Ancients" , created by fantasy artist Kit Rae. The Serpent Dagger , the most vile of all of the Blades of Chaos , was called Nasek in the Ancient's language and it was fashioned in the shape of many intertwined snakes and held a serpentine blade of unbreakable metal. Six spikes were thrust into the hilt to represent the six Ancient Ones who had given it part of their powers.
This Egyptian inspired fantasy knife is one of the most popular knives in the Kit Rae Fantasy line. This unique dagger is based on Isis - The Egyptian goddess of fertility. In ancient times it was believed that without Isis' blessing , Egypt would become barren and void of fruitful harvest or livestock. The pommel displays the symbols of fertility ( cow horns and sun disc ) which were traditionally shown on her crown. The guard is a horned design with intertwined serpents ( the protectors of Isis ) at its center. Both have an antique silver-plated finish. The handle is carved with a snakeskin texture.
