Paul Chen Practical Single Hand Sword
by Hanwei
Item # RCCASSH2046TS
The Paul Chen Practical Single Hand Sword
The Practical Single-Hand Sword is based on the
Sir William Marshall sword ,
so named for one of England’s finest knights of the latter half of the 12th century.
The sword is classically styled , with a cruciform hilt , wheel pommel and a ridged and fullered blade that is both stiff and surprisingly light. With a weight of less than 2 ½ lbs. , the sword can be wielded forcefully without undue wear and tear on the arm.
The Practical SingleHand Sword is styled on authentic historical swords but it is tailored to meet the needs of the re-enactor for stage combat at a very affordable price. This very popular and affordable weapon features authentic hilt styling , with a fully tempered un-edged and un-pointed blade.
The Practical Single Hand Sword is designed to withstand rugged use while providing the level of safety required
by many of today’s re-enactment societies. The blade is crafted from 1065 high-carbon steel ,
hardened to HRC 50 , which restricts edge notching to acceptable levels while providing resilience and
protection against brittleness. While the blade is substantial , it is fullered to provide balance and good handling characteristics.
The Practical SingleHand Sword blade features 1/16" wide edges and a rounded tip for safety.
The tang is also substantial , with radiused corners at the blade shoulder and no welds. The end of the tang is riveted over the pommel , which both eliminates any possibility of inadvertent disassembly and provides a traditional means of tightening a loose hilt. The hardwood grip is leather covered. The scabbard is fabricated in glass-filled resin, to provide great impact resistance , to eliminate swelling and to minimize blade corrosion problems. The scabbard now features belt rings that adjust to allow vertical or horizontal carry. The wood-grain finish is attractive, but most re-enactors will decorate the scabbard to match their persona.
This fully functional broad sword is tailored to meet the demands of re-enactment and stage combat.

Two Handed Great Sword by Cold Steel

The Two Handed Great Sword by Cold Steel
The Two Handed Great Sword is the biggest sword manufactured by Cold Steel. But don't let its size fool you , as there is nothing awkward or clumsy about this awesome sword. Sure it's big and meant to be carried over the shoulder instead of in a scabbard , but it's extremely well balanced and easily wielded by people of larger stature and physical strength. Weighing 6 lbs. 13.5 oz. with a 397/8" high carbon steel blade , it will make short work of pikemen or swordsmen and will prove equally effective against modern rifle butts and bayonets. To protect the hands from opposing weapons , it features a large guard with side rings plus integral parrying hooks that allow the blade to be shortened for close range slashing and stabbing attacks. The handle is made of wood and covered with leather and is extra long to afford a full two handed grip. What's more , it's capped by a heavy steel pommel that helps counter balance its long blade and serves as an effective weapon in its own right. Gim Sword by Cold Steel

Item # RCCS88GTS
The Gim Sword by Cold Steel
There are two basic types of straight bladed swords used in China. One is fairly long and heavy known as the Wu Jian or "Martial Sword". The other is substantially lighter and called a Wen Jian or "Scholar's Sword" and was primarily carried for personal self defense. After studying books and video tapes on the history and use of both weapons , Cold Steel decided to make their own battle worthy Gim (Wu Jian) for serious collectors and practitioners of Chinese Martial Arts. The blade of their Wu Jian is made out of 1050 spring steel and measures 30" long by 11/2" wide. For cutting and slashing , both edges are quite sharp and they terminate in a strong , useful point for stabbing. The traditionally styled guard and pommel are cast out of thick sturdy brass and fit snugly on a stout Rosewood handle that is both highly decorative as well as functional.
The Gim Sword comes with an excellent wood scabbard with brass throat , chape and sword rings and can be worn suspended from the belt or slung over the shoulder.
